Matimco, Inc. as part of its CSR, has participated in Caritas Manila’s Segunda Mana program since 2021. Matimco has donated over 260,000 bd ft of products from floors, doors, framings, mouldings, lumber, and other products from the time the initiative started. 

Last February 13, 2023, Matimco, Inc. was awarded a Testament of Appreciation from the Caritas Manila Board for its continuous efforts to support the foundation.

Segunda Mana is the donations-in-kind program of Caritas Manila to help the poor help themselves. It is a social enterprise that collects in-kind donations. These donations are converted to cash in our Charity Outlets in order to sustain our triple bottom line development programs:

• Fund over 5000 voc/tech and college scholars nationwide under our Youth Servant Leadership & Education Program
• Support the livelihood of over 300 micro entrepreneurs and their families from informal sectors like BASECO and Payatas
• Strongly promote the 3Rs (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle)

TUV Rheinland (TUVR), a global leader in independent certification and inspection services, hosted its Client Appreciation Day last May 24, 2023 at Radisson Blu Cebu. This celebration not only showcased their commitment to excellence but also demonstrates the value they place on their clients. It brings together clients, industry experts, and TUVR professionals in an engaging and celebratory atmosphere while providing a platform for collaboration, learning, and networking.

Another highlight of this year’s TUVR Client Appreciation Day is the recognition and awards ceremony, whereby TUVR acknowledges Matimco for its outstanding achievements and collaboration alongside other reputable partners in the business. This recognition highlights the strong bond between Matimco and TUVR throughout the years of pursuing Quality Management System (QMS) excellence. Accepting the recognition on behalf of Matimco is Ms. Mavreen Pono, QMS Administrator, alongside representatives from TUVR namely, Mr. Mark Lugay – Senior Manager, Local Field Manager of Business Stream (BS) products and Ms. Ma. Luna Villacrusis – Vice General Manager / Regional Sales Manager of BS Lifecare and BS Academy.
